PLAYOFF FEVER - The Hooks are knocking on the door of first place in the Texas League South Division second-half race. Three games back of front-running San Antonio and two behind Frisco, Corpus Christi has 14 contests remaining in the regular season, four against the RoughRiders and seven with the Missions.
The Hooks take on Midland tonight at 6:30 in game two of their four-game series at Citibank Ballpark and will head to the Alamo City for a four-game series against the Missions, beginning Friday, August 24. MR. ASTRO - Craig Biggio Night is set for Tuesday, August 28, when the Hooks open the final homestand of the regular season against Frisco. Gates open at 5:30 and the first 4,000 fans receive a Biggio print, courtesy of the Corpus Christi Caller-Times. There will be $7 No.7 Biggio t-shirts and $20 Biggio 3,000 hit t-shirts at Hook, Line & Sinker! Limit two per person, subject to availability.
The festivities also include special video tributes throughout the game, as well as giveaways of autographed memorabilia and Astros tickets.
