SALT LAKE CITY - The Bees dropped their sixth straight game with a 8-3 against the Nashville Sounds in front of 9,042 fans on Memorial Day. The Sounds got on the board first by a three-run home run by Matt Olson off Chris O'Grady. Recently promoted to Triple-A and former BYU Cougar outfielder Jaycob Brugman helped the Sounds to victory going four-for-four with 2 RBIs, three doubles and one run scored. The Bees got three runs back from Ryan Jackson and Kyle Kubitza in the seventh after back-to-back RBIs and an error scoring Kubitza. Quintin Berry who went two-for-four on the afternoon, extended his hitting streak to eight, a new season-high for Berry.

O'Grady got his second start of the season going three innings allowing three hits and striking out three to lead things off on a bullpen day for the Salt Lake staff. Arriving only an hour before the game and in his Triple-A debut, Tyler Brunnemann pitched two and one-third innings allowing five runs and was given the loss. Relievers David Carpenter, Javy Guerra and Cody Satterwhite finished the game combining for three and two-third innings. Sounds pitcher Daniel Mengden received his third win of the season. Mengden gave up more than one run for the first time this season, raising his ERA to 1.12.

Salt Lake embarks on its longest road trip of the season tomorrow starting with a four-game series at Tacoma. The Bees will play 12 games in 13 days on the road to start June, traveling to Reno and Fresno following the series in Tacoma before returning to Smith's Ballpark on Monday, June 13.
