Chihuahuas End Road Trip with 12-0 Win

The El Paso Chihuahuas closed their eight-game road trip with a 12-0 victory in Omaha Monday afternoon. It was the fourth shutout of the year for El Paso, setting a new team record for shutouts in a season. Carlos Pimentel tossed six shutout innings to get the win and threw 12 innings on the road trip, allowing only one run.

Ryan Schimpf went 2-for-5 with two home runs and five RBIs, including hitting El Paso's first grand slam since June 29, 2015 (Casey McElroy at Tacoma). Alex Dickerson went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, extending his hitting streak to 28 games, surpassing Triple-A Portland's Peter Ciofrone's 27-game hitting streak in 2008 in recent Padres' Triple-A history.

Manuel Margot went 3-for-4 with a walk atop El Paso's batting order. The Chihuahuas went 6-2 on the road trip, taking three out of four from both Iowa and Omaha.
