O'Fallon, Mo. - Stephen Holdren smacked a three-run homerun to tie the Rascals single-season homerun record with his 19th, and added a two-run double in the sixth to cap another River City comeback win, their fourth in the last five games at T.R. Hughes Ballpark, by a final of 12-7.

River City (50-17) took a 4-1 lead after the first but the offense was shut down for the next four innings allowing the ThunderBolts (35-33) to chip away.

A run in the second, two in the fourth and two more in the sixth gave Windy City a 6-4 lead, but the Rascals would respond in their half of the sixth.

After punishing all-star starter Dustin Williams for four in the first, the Rascals exploded for five runs in the sixth on five consecutive hits including an RBI triple from Eric Williams and a two-run double from Holdren to take a 9-6 lead. Danny Sawyer tacked on a solo homer in the seventh before the ‘Bolts added a run in the eighth to make it 10-7. River City added two insurance runs in the bottom of the frame on back-to-back sacrifice flies from Jareck West and Sawyer, who finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs and now has eight in his last two games.

Rascals' reliever Jason Pankau picked up his first professional win and Brandon Cunniff closed out the eighth and pitched a perfect ninth to record his seventh save.

River City goes for the sweep tomorrow with first pitch set for 7:05.
