Hogs Open Back-To-Back Home Games Tonight vs. Iowa

Rockford, Ill. - The Rockford IceHogs (14-22-4-3) seek to take the series lead tonight when they host the Iowa Wild (20-19-4-1) for the first game of back-to-back matchups at the BMO Harris Bank Center.

Puck drop is 7:00 p.m. and doors open at 6:00 p.m. Tonight's slate of promotions features a cooler backpack giveaway, for the first 1,000 fans, courtesy of Budlight. The cooler backpack includes the IceHogs' colors of red and black, an insulated compartment and the team's logo printed on the front pocket.

Fans ages 21 and older can also kick-off their weekend festivities with a Pre-Game Party at the Blues Flame Lounge, located on the BMO Harris Bank Center concourse. Friday's event begins with live music from "Don Collins and the Night Shift" at 5:15 p.m. and will also include free appetizers and happy-hour specials.

Matchup: The IceHogs and Wild meet for the fifth time this season with each team securing two victories in the previous four matchups.

Rockford is returning to its home ice following a 10-day road trip that featured stops in Cleveland and San Antonio. The Hogs went 1-2-1-0 in four contests on the road, and concluded their trip with three of eight possible points.

Forward Spencer Abbott leads the IceHogs with 9g-16a-25pts in 39 games. Abbott has recorded six of his assists against the Wild, ranking him as the IceHogs' top scorer against Iowa.

The Wild enter tonight's matchup having notched victories in each of their last two games, including a 3-2 win vs. Texas on Jan. 21 and a 2-1 victory over Grand Rapids on Wednesday. Teemu Pulkkinen leads the Wild as the team's top scorer with 12g-14a-26pts, including five points against the IceHogs this season.

Next Home Game: Saturday, January 28 vs. the Iowa Wild at 7 p.m. Saturday is the IceHogs annual Pink in the Rink game and the team will sport specialty Pink in the Rink jerseys while skating on pink-dyed ice. The game-worn jerseys will be available via blind-silent auction with proceeds benefitting breast cancer research and A Silver Lining Foundation. Two of the jerseys will also be up for auction online following the game. The first 2,500 fans to enter the building will receive a LED Foam Stick courtesy of Swedish American Hospital.
