
Hitmen prepare for Ice in first round of WHL playoffs

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen will meet the Kootenay Ice in the first round of the 2007 WHL Playoffs.
The Best-of-Seven Eastern Conference Quarter-Final Series is a 2-2-1-1 format with Kootenay having home ice advantage.
For the third time in playoff history the Hitmen and Ice will meet. In 1999 Calgary eliminated Kootenay in seven games in the first round. In 2000 the Ice ousted the Hitmen in five games to win the Eastern Conference Championship.
On both occasions the series winner went on to win the WHL Championship.
