
Silertips Become 2006-2007 WHL Regular Season Champs

The 2006-2007 WHL Regular Season Champions, Everett Silvertips will complete the 2006-2007 regular season this week with three games in four nights. On Wednesday, March 14, the Silvertips will host the Prince George Cougars at the Everett Events Center at 7:05 p.m. The Tips will play their final regular season road game in Kennewick, WA against the Tri-City Americans at the Toyota Center at 7:05 p.m. The Silvertips will finish the 2006-2007 regular season against the Vancouver Giants at the Everett Events Center on Saturday, March 17. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m.

SILVERTIPS LEADING SCORERS
The Silvertips are led in scoring by Zach Hamill (32 goals, 61 assists) with 93 points. Peter Mueller (21 goals, 57 assists) is 2nd on the hockey club in scoring with 78 points. Kyle Beach (28 goals, 32 assists) is 3rd on the team in scoring with 60 points. Hamill currently leads the Silvertips in assists (61) while Moises Gutierrez (35 goals, 20 assists) leads the team in goals scored (35) and power play goals (24). Silvertips forward Kyle Beach leads the hockey club in +/- with a +28. In goal, Leland Irving has posted 33 wins, 1.90 GAA, 92.8% SP and 10 Shutouts. David Reekie is currently 20-5 with the Silvertips and has posted a 1.72 GAA, 92.5% SP and 3 shutouts with Everett this season.
EVERETT SILVERTIPS AMONG LEAGUE LEADERS
Silvertips forward Zach Hamill (32 goals, 61 assists) is 1st in the WHL in scoring with 93 points. Peter Mueller (21 goals, 57 assists) is 10th in the WHL in scoring with 78 points. Hamill is 1st in the WHL in assists (61) while Mueller is tied for 2nd in the WHL in assists (57). Moises Gutierrez (35 goals, 20 assists) is 1st in the WHL in power play goals (24). First year forward Kyle Beach (28 goals, 32 assists) is 7th in the WHL in rookie scoring with 60 points and is the leading scorer among all 16 year olds in the WHL. Defenseman Jason Fransoo (9 goals, 34 assists) is 16th among all WHL defensemen in scoring with 43 points. In goal, Leland Irving is 2nd in the WHL in GAA (1.90), 1st in SP (92.8%), 1st in Shutouts (10) and tied for 2nd in Wins (33). David Reekie is currently for 3rd in the WHL in GAA (1.94) and 5th in SP (91.6%).
EVERETT SILVERTIPS SPECIAL TEAMS
The Silvertips are 3rd in the WHL on the power play (107 for 525, 20.4%) and 2nd in the WHL on the penalty kill (427 for 484, 88.2%).
SILVERTIPS HOME AND ROAD RECORDS
The Silvertips are 30-3-0-1 at the Everett Events Center this season and 23-10-1-1 on the road.
VERSUS THE BC DIVISION
The Silvertips are 20-2-1-0 against the BC Division this season. (11-0 @ Home, 9-2-1-0 @ Road)
VERSUS THE US DIVISION

VERSUS THE PRINCE GEORGE COUGARS
Wednesday night will be the fifth and final meeting of the regular season between the Tips and the Cougars. The Silvertips are 3-1 against the Cougars this season and 2-0 against Prince George at the EEC. The Silvertips are 9-7 all time against the Cougars and 5-3 against PG all time at the EEC. In their last meeting on February 27 at the CN Centre in Prince George, BC, the Cougars defeated the Silvertips 6-4.
VERSUS THE TRI-CITY AMERICANS
Friday night will be the eighth and final regular season meeting between the two US Division foes. The Silvertips are 4-2-0-1 against the Americans this season and 0-2-0-1 against Tri-City at the Toyota Center. The Silvertips are 19-13-2 (OTL)-1 (SOL)-3 (Ties) all time against Americans in franchise history and 7-9-2 (OTL)-1 (SOL) all time against Tri-City at the Toyota Center. In their last meeting on March 10 at the Toyota Center, the Americans defeated the Silvertips 5-3.
VERSUS THE VANCOUVER GIANTS
Saturday night will be the sixth and final meeting of the regular season between the two Western Conference rivals. The Silvertips are 5-0 against the Giants this season and 2-0 against Vancouver at the EEC. The Silvertips are 12-9-2 (OTL) all time against Giants in franchise history and 6-4-1 (OTL) all time against Vancouver at the Everett Events Center. In their last meeting on February 23 at Pacific Coliseum, the Silvertips defeated the Giants in a shootout 4-3 (SO).

The 2006-2007 US Division Champions, Everett Silvertips, will begin Game #1 (Game A) of the 2007 WHL Playoffs on Friday, March 23 at the Everett Events Center. Game time is set for 7:35 p.m. Game #2 (Game B) will take place on Saturday, March 24 at the EEC at 7:05 p.m. The remaining of the first round schedule and the Silvertips opponent will be announced at a later date.

Wednesday night will be the final bobblehead doll night of the season. The first 1,000 fans through the main doors will receive a Torrie Wheat Bobblehead Doll courtesy of Abbey Carpet on Wednesday, March 14 when the Silvertips battle the Prince George Cougars at the Everett Events Center. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m.
Saturday, March 17 against the Vancouver Giants at the Everett Events Center will be the final regular season game for the Silvertips. Friday night will also be Fan Finale Night at the EEC. Fabulous prizes will be given away throughout the evening. Fans will also receive a Silvertips Team Photo. Following the game, the Silvertips will hold their 4th Annual Silvertips Year End Awards.
2006-2007 WHL REGULAR SEASON CHAMPIONS
With the 3-0 victory over the Portland Winter Hawks on Friday, March 9 at Memorial Coliseum, the Silvertips clinched their first WHL Regular Season title by capturing the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy for the first time in Silvertips franchise history.
