Calgary Hitmen News Release
Calgary, AB- The Calgary Hitmen closed out a three-game weekend this evening as they welcomed the Red Deer Rebels to Scotiabank Saddledome.
Despite killing off seven penalties and coming back from a goal deficit in the third to force overtime, Calgary was edged by Red Deer in extra minutes.
Zac Funk opened up the scoring for Calgary for the second game in a row with helpers from Oliver Tulk and Keagan Slaney. Two second period goals from Red Deer would give them the lead heading into the third period. Hunter Mayo would find the back of the net at 6:26, while Kalan Lind would sneak one in on the power play with under two minutes to go in the period.
