Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack has named forward Joey Hishon the Becker Shoes Attacker of the week for the week ending Sunday, October 31st, 2010. Hishon, a first round pick of the Colorado Avalanche picked up 3 goals in 2 games last week against Saginaw and Kingston.
On Friday evening, Hishon scored both of the Attack's goals in a loss against Saginaw, one being a shorthanded marker in the second period. Saginaw defeated the Attack 5-2, despite being out shot 54-24.
Saturday evening, the Attack hosted Doug Gilmour and the Kingston Frontenacs. The Attack once again out shot their opponents, peppering 57 shots at German born net minder Philip Grubbauer, but fell 5-4 in a shoot out. Hishon and his teammates did manage to earn a point and force the game into extra time by tallying a goal late in the third period.
The Attack is back in action at home in the blue, white and red of the Owen Sound Mercury's this Wednesday when they play host to the Barrie Colts. Game time at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre is 7:00pm.
