Hillcats' Doubleheader Postponed

LYNCHBURG, VA - Friday's doubleheader between the Lynchburg Hillcats and Salem Red Sox has been postponed due to inclement weather. The series was supposed to feature a Friday doubleheader followed by single games Saturday and Sunday, but will now have doubleheaders on both Saturday and Sunday. Friday's scheduled T-shirt giveaway, presented by High Peak Sportswear and WYYD, will now be given away during Sunday's doubleheader.

Saturday will feature two seven-inning games with the first game set for 4:05pm. Gates will open at 3pm and fireworks will still go on as scheduled at the conclusion of game 2. Sunday will now have the T-shirt giveaway for the first 1,000 fans when gates open at 1pm for the 2:05pm start time of game one. The back end of both doubleheaders will start approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

Ryan Weber (3-1, 2.75) will start Saturday's game one for the Hillcats against Kyle Stroup (3-3, 3.88) for Salem. Greg Ross (2-2, 4.36) will take the mound for Lynchburg in game two. On Sunday, Lynchburg will have Navery Moore (6-4, 4.91) start game one and Jarett Miller (4-3, 3.75) in the finale. If you can't make it to the games, all four will be broadcast live with Erik Wilson and Jake Levy on the call starting at the top of the hour before game one on both Saturday and Sunday on 97.9 FM The Planet and lynchburg-hillcats.com.
