Alejandro Selen's RBI single with two outs in the sixth inning broke a 1-1 tie, and Hickory took the first game of a doubleheader with the Lexington Legends 3-1.

The Crawdads took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning when Jurickson Profar led off with a double and scored on a two-out double by Andrew Clark.

The score remained 1-0 until the top of the sixth. With one out, Ben Orloff walked. He moved to third on a single by Tyler Burnett and scored the tying run on a sacrifice fly to right field by Telvin Nash.

But the Crawdads answered with two runs in the bottom of the sixth. With one out, Christian Villanueva singled. After Jorge DeLeon relieved Legends starter Mike Foltynewicz, Villanueva stole second. Jake Skole flied out to left field, but Selen stroked a single to left, scoring Villanueva with the go-ahead run. Yefry Castillo followed with a triple, and Selen came home with the game's final run.

Hickory reliever Jimmy Reyes (3-0) got the win. Foltynewicz (4-7) suffered his first loss since May 11.

The second game of the doubleheader is scheduled for 7 p.m.
