Clinton, IA- The Toronto Blue Jays have announced today that outfielder Luke Hethrington has been placed on the disabled list, retroactive to July 24th. Taking Hetherington's roster spot will be outfielder Brian Patrick, who was activated from the disabled list in Dunedin and sent to Lansing.

Hetherington goes the DL with an undisclosed injury. The Seattle, WA native is currently batting .266 in 72 games with the Lugnuts and has driven home 21 runs. His last action took place during the Lugnuts' series against Peoria at Olds Park when he saw action in the July 23rd game.

Patrick, a 24-year-old outfielder from Fort Lauderdale, Florida will join the club in Clinton. Originally, a 25th round pick of Toronto's in 2003 out of Duke University, Patrick had spent the entire 2005 campaign with the Dunedin Blue Jays of the Florida State League. In 53 games with the Blue Jays, the switch hitter batted .293 with a home run and 15 runs batted in. His last action for Dunedin came on July 2nd against Clearwater.

The roster moves made today still keep Lansing's active roster at 25 players.
