Herd Faces Loss to Greensboro Swarm

OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, lost to the Greensboro Swarm 127-109. The Swarm scored 40 points in the second quarter to go up by 12 points at the half. The Herd came within six points, but it wasn't enough to take the lead. The Swarm outscored the Herd 27-25 in the fourth quarter to win the game.

Rayjon Tucker led the Herd with 23 points while Jalen Lecque added 23 and Tremont Waters posted 22.

Jalen Crutcher and Kai Jones led the Swarm with 27 each.

Tremont Waters opened the game hitting a three to give the Herd an early lead, but the Swarm came back to go ahead 7-6 with nine minutes left in the first quarter. The Swarm hit four back-to-back threes to put them ahead by nine points. The Herd battled back to come within four, 27-23, at the end of the first quarter.

The Herd outscored the Swarm 13-10 to come within one point with seven minutes left in the second quarter. The Swarm turned around to go up 51-40. The Herd brought their lead down to six points, but the Swarm remained in the lead to be up at half 67-55. Rayjon Tucker and Jalen Lecque led the Herd in the first half with 13 points each.

The Herd opened the third quarter with six unanswered points to put them down 67-61. The Swarm built their lead to go up 20. The two teams continued to trade baskets until the Herd cut their lead down to 16 at the end of the third quarter. The Swarm led 100-84.

The Herd stayed behind by 20 points until Rayjon Tucker made a layup to put the Herd within 14 points with six minutes left in the fourth quarter. The Swarm stayed in the lead to win the game 127-109.

The Wisconsin Herd will return home against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Sunday, February 6 with tip-off set for 7:00 p.m. CST.
