(GREENSBORO, N.C.) - Kai Jones had a season-high 27 points to power the Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, past the Wisconsin Herd (Milwaukee Bucks affiliate) 127-109 on Friday at the Fieldhouse at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex. Jones pulled down 17 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season.

Greensboro improved to 5-6 overall with the victory while Wisconsin dropped to 6-6.

The Swarm scored a season-best 67 points in the first half in large part due to a 40-point second quarter. Greensboro hit 13 of their 17 three-point shots in the first 24 minutes of the game to hold a 67-55 lead at half. The Swarm shot an impressive 51 percent overall in the game while holding the Herd to just 40 percent.

Jones' full stat line for the game was 27 points on 11-of-14 shooting, 17 rebounds, three blocks in 39 minutes. His effort was his second consecutive double-double after recording 21 points and 11 rebounds on Thursday on the road against the Delaware Blue Coats (Philadelphia 76ers affiliate).

Joining Jones with another strong effort was Jalen Crutcher. The Swarm guard had 27 points, 11 assists and five rebounds in 35 minutes off the bench. Crutcher has scored 20-plus points in three of his last four games, all coming in a reserve role.

Wisconsin had three 20-point scorers via Rayjon Tucker (26 points), Jalen Lecque (23 points) and Tremont Waters (22 points). Tiwian Kendley added 18 points off the bench.

Other double-digit scorers for Greensboro included DJ Carton (15 points), Scottie Lewis (13 points), Chudier Bile (12 points) and Arnoldas Kulboka (11 points).

Greensboro next hits the road for a game on Sunday, February 6, against the Lakeland Magic (Orlando Magic affiliate) at 3:00 p.m. ET. The Swarm then host the Motor City Cruise (Detroit Pistons affiliate) on Wednesday, February 9, at the Fieldhouse at 7:00 p.m. ET.
