
Hens Win Third-Straight in Slugfest

The Mud Hens earned their season-high third straight victory on Wednesday afternoon in a 12-11 win that saw five lead changes, 23 runs and 30 hits.
The Rail Riders were the first on the board after they tagged Shawn Hill for six hits and five first-inning runs.
The home team responded swiftly though with seven runs of their own in the second thanks to a two-run Argenis Diaz single and a Brandon Douglas three-run homer, his second in as many games.
Both teams then traded leads back and forth untill the eighth when Danny Dorn stepped up and connected for a solo shot that landed near The Roost and gave the Hens the decisive 12-11 advantage.
The Mud Hens will look to make it four-in-a-row tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m. RHP Derek Hankins (0-2, 3.32) is scheduled to make the start for Toledo.
