Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs News Release

BOSSIER CITY, LA - You won't want to miss a celebration of the past and present of the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs tonight at the CenturyTel Center as the 'Bugs face the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees at 6:35 pm, presented by International Used Truck Center of Shreveport. The Mudbugs will honor longtime great Ken Carroll and celebrate 10 years at the CenturyTel Center in tonight's game.

As Bossier-Shreveport (5-2-0) and Rio Grande Valley (2-1-1) battle for the first time this season, former goaltender Ken Carroll will be our special guest during an evening to thank him and recognize his contributions to the rich history of the Mudbugs franchise. Over his nine seasons with the team, Carroll set the all-time CHL record for career shutouts and climbed all the way to second place in league history in wins while winning one President's Cup Championship and being selected to six All-Star Games.

The first 500 fans through the doors will get a free Ken Carroll #34 t-shirt to commemorate the occasion, which also falls on the 10th anniversary of the first Mudbugs game ever played at the CenturyTel Center. Carroll will drop the ceremonial first puck and be honored with a special ceremony during the first intermission.
