Hebert Promoted to Tampa, Bolasky Joins RiverDogs

CHARLESTON, SC - The New York Yankees have announced that left-handed pitcher Chaz Hebert has been promoted to the High-A Tampa Yankees and outfielder Devyn Bolasky has been added to the RiverDogs' roster from Extended Spring Training.

Hebert was selected by the Yankees in the 27th round of the 2011 First-Year Player Draft. For the RiverDogs in 2015, the southpaw compiled a 1-1 record with a minuscule 0.87 ERA, allowing just one earned run over 10.1 innings while striking out 14 opposing hitters. For his career, which spans across parts of four professional seasons, Hebert is 10-12 with a 3.39 ERA and has racked up 160 strikeouts in 164.2 innings pitched.

Bolasky joins the RiverDogs ready to embark on his second professional season. The outfielder was selected by the Yankees in the 31st round of the 2014 First-Year Player Draft and made his professional debut with the Staten Island Yankees last season. The Moreno Valley, California native played in 44 games for the SI Yanks and hit .241 (41-for-170) with seven extra-base hits, 15 RBI, and a team-high nine stolen bases.

COMING UP: Charleston and Savannah square off in the finale of the four-game series Sunday afternoon beginning at 2:05 p.m. The RiverDogs are scheduled to send RHP Jordan Foley (0-1, 4.00) to the hill and the Sand Gnats will send RHP Josh Prevost (1-0, 6.00).

The RiverDogs remain on the road until for four more games, before they return home and play host to the Savannah Sand Gnats for a four-game series starting Thursday, April 23. The homestand opens with a special visit from the Budweiser Clydesdales on the second Budweiser Thirsty Thursday of the season presented by 95SX.
