Heathcott Transferred To Charleston, Milo Placed On DL

CHARLESTON, SC - The New York Yankees announced Wednesday that Charleston RiverDogs outfielder Justin Milo has been placed on the 7-day DL, retroactive to May 31, and outfielder Slade Heathcott has been transferred to the RiverDogs from Extended Spring Training.

Heathcott, a Texarkana, Tex. native, was the Yankees' first-round selection in the 2009 First-Year Player Draft. The 19-year-old outfielder comes to Charleston rated as the No. 4 prospect in the entire Yankees organization, according to Baseball America. The No. 29 overall pick in last year's draft appeared in three games in 2009 with the GCL Yankees, batting .100 (1-10).

Milo, a 37th round pick by the Yankees in the 2009 First-Year Player Draft, has been placed on the disabled list with an upper-body injury. The former University of Vermont standout has played in 12 games with the RiverDogs thus far this season, batting .244 with seven runs, two RBI and two stolen bases.
