Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat extended their point streak to five games with a 4-3 overtime victory over the Rochester Americans on Wednesday in the first ever Punjabi Night in Abbotsford at the AESC. It was the second time in as many nights that the Fraser Valley outfit bested their Western Conference foes.

Krys Kolanos set a new franchise record for most goals in a season for the Heat with his 26th marker of the campaign in the second period. Dustin Sylvester and Roman Horak each tallied in the third to send the game to extra time. Ben Walter provided the heroics midway through overtime with the assists going to Krys Kolanos (1-2-3) and Brian Connelly (0-2-2) who each earned multi-point performances.

Danny Taylor started in goal for the second consecutive night and made 29 saves for his 19th victory of the season.

Next action for the Heat comes on Saturday, April 7th when they head out for their final road trip of the 2011-12 campaign for a weekend set against the Charlotte Checkers. Puck drop is scheduled for 9:00am PDT and the game can be heard live at theahl.com or on Country 107.1.
