Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat beat the Houston Aeros for the third straight time this season with a 3-2 victory on Friday night at the AESC. The game was scoreless after the first despite an 11-4 edge in the shots on goal department in favour of the home team. The Heat broke the deadlock early in the second as newcomer Hugh Jessiman got his 21st of the season and first as a member of the Heat in his debut with the club. Abbotsford went on to add two more goals in the middle stanza, the first by Ben Walter who notched his ninth of the season followed by Greg Nemisz who also buried his ninth to give the Heat a 3-1 lead after 40 minutes. Houston scored early in the third to get to within one but the Abbotsford held off the comeback to earn the victory. Forward Adam Estoclet chipped in with two assists in his second game with the Heat and netminder Henrik Karlsson stopped 23 of 25 shots for his first career AHL win.
