Abbotsford Heat News Release
Chicago, IL - The Abbotsford Heat and Chicago Wolves (Vancouver Canucks) will look to bounce back after Friday losses tonight as they meet for their last of four games at the Allstate Arena this regular season. The Wolves and Heat will meet a total of eight times this season and will close out their season series with a pair of games in Abbotsford at the end of March, thus far the Wolves have seven of a possible 10 points in the season series, while the Heat have four.
Stakes are high for the two clubs as they find themselves amid an eight-team logjam in the standings that separates 4th spot from 11th by just seven points. The Wolves are currently holding down the final home ice playoff spot (as the four seed) sitting with 64 points in 54 games, while the Heat occupy the eighth and final playoff spot with 60 points through 54 games played - just four points behind the new affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks.
Tonight's action is followed up by the Heat's third game in three days, as they return to Peoria for a 5:00 PM local time, 3:00 PST Sunday game. The Heat will close out this five-game road trip through the Midwest Division with their final meeting of the season with the Rockford IceHogs on Tuesday.
Tonight's game can be heard in its entirety on Country 107.1 FM and simulcast on The Team 1410 AM, and online at theAHL.com with the 4:45 pre-game show and a 5:00 PST opening face-off. The game can be also heard on Country 107.1's website, and is available via the Rogers Radio & Bell Media App on your wireless device.
