June 17, 2019 - Northwest League (NWL1)
Boise Hawks News Release

On Father's Day, the Boise Hawks (Class A Short-Season affiliate of the Colorado Rockies) dropped game three of the series 8-3 to the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes (Class A Short-Season affiliate of the San Francisco Giants.)

Salem-Keizer's offense erupted with seven runs in the first inning. With two runners on, Franklin Labour cranked a three-run homer for his second long ball of the series. After the home run, the Volcanoes collected six hits in a row during that inning.

Bladimir Restituyo smashed his first home run of the season over the left field fence to make the score 7-1. After a triple from Vladimir Dilone, Isaac Collins delivered a sacrifice fly making it 7-2.

Restituyo continued his impressive game with a sharply hit double in the seventh inning. After he stole third, catcher Bryant Quijada hit a liner to left field scoring Restituyo for his first RBI of the season.

The Rockies' second round draft pick Aaron Schunk collected his first professional hit, a single right over the third baseman's head. Stephen Jones made his proffesional debut on the mound, coming in at the top of the seventh inning. He pitched two innings only giving up one hit and striking out two Volcanoes.

The Hawks will be back in action Monday at 7:15 with their home opener at Memorial Stadium against the Everett AquaSox (Class A Short-Season affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.) It will be our magnetic schedule giveaway thanks to Project Filter.
