HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc won their lone game on the road over weekend with a 5-2 win over the Columbus Cottonmouths on Saturday.
Saturday, November 21 - Huntsville 5, Columbus 2
COLUMBUS, GA - The Huntsville Havoc scored three goals in the third period breaking a 2-2 tie and giving them a 5-2 win over the Columbus Cottonmouths Saturday night.
Justin Rohr, Travis Kauffeldt and Jordan Foote all scored third period goals for the Havoc.
Columbus scored the only goal in the first period on a powerplay goal by Levi Lind.
Jeremy Beirnes tied the game at 1-1 with 15:11 left in the second period before Jeff Martens put Columbus back ahead 2-1 with 8:28 left. Dennis Sicard added a powerplay goal with 6:55 left in the second to send the game to the second intermission tied at 2-2. The goals by Beirnes and Foote were their first goals and first points for the Havoc this season.
Mark Sibbald stopped 33 shots to get his league-leading fifth win of the season. Chad Rycroft made 28 saves in the loss.
