Week Seven in Review The Huntsville Havoc snapped a three-game losing streak and ending a seven-game winning streak by Florida with a 3-1 win over the Seals on Thursday night. They followed that with a 5-2 win over the Columbus Cottonmouths on Friday night.

Thursday, December 15 - Florida 1, Huntsville 3 HUNTSVILLE, AL - Matt Carmichael made 29 saves and was just 1:22 away from his first shutout of the season as the Huntsville Havoc downed the Florida Seals 3-1 Thursday night. The win snapped a three game losing streak for the Havoc and stopped a seven-game winning streak for the Seals. Huntsville built a three-goal lead on a first period goal by Jason deGuehery and second period goals by James Patterson and Don Patrick. Mike Degurse, Craig Bushey, Jesse Baraniuk, Jonathan Lounsbury and Mark Cole all had assists for the Havoc. David Deeves scored for the Seals on a power play goal with 1:22 left in the game. Steve Zoryk and Craig Miller had the assists. Neither team was impressive on the power play as Huntsville was 1-of-8 and Florida was 1-of-7.

Friday December 16 - Columbus 2, Huntsville 5 HUNTSVILLE, AL - Bill Monkman scored a hat trick as the Huntsville Havoc won it's fourth home game in a row with a 5-2 win over the Columbus Cottonmouths Friday night. James Patterson and Jeff Dams also scored goals for the Havoc. Dams, Jason deGuehery, Craig Bushey, Chris Ferguson, Mike Degurse and Tom Phillips all had assists. Lorne Masita and Tom McMonagle had third period goals for the Cottonmouths. Matt Carmichael took the win stopping 29 shots. Chad Rycroft suffered the loss stopping 24. Huntsville was 1-of-8 on the power play while Columbus was 1-of-4. The game saw a total of 116 penalty minutes on 30 penalties.

Friday, December 23 vs Columbus Cottonmouths - The first 1,500 fans will receive the third of five sets of Havoc Trading Cards courtesy of Firehouse Subs, Colonial Printing and WAAY. It's also another WAY-FM Family Fun Friday where for $50 fans receive four General Admission Tickets; four Hot Dogs; four Sodas and a large popcorn. The Havoc will also be hosting a Canned Food Drive for the Harris Home for Children. Bring any canned or non-perishable food item and receive $2.00 off any ticket.
