Havoc Split Over Weekend

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Havoc split two games over the weekend dropping a 3-0 decision on the road to the Mississippi Surge before rebounding with a home win over the Louisiana Ice Gators 5-2.

Friday, October 28 - Huntsville 0, Mississippi Surge 3

BILOXI, MS - Nick Eno made 26 as the Mississippi Surge shutout the Huntsville Havoc 3-0 Friday night.

Adam Krug, Nick Klaren and Colin Reddin each netted goals for the Surge in the win.

Mark Sibbald made 32 saves in the loss as Huntsville was outshot 35-26 including a 18-4 margin in the second period.

Huntsville went scoreless on seven powerplay chances and have now scored one goal in 18 opportunities.

Saturday, October 29 - Louisiana 2, Huntsville 5

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc opened the 2011-12 home schedule with an impressive 5-2 win over the Louisiana Ice Gators Saturday night in front of 4,820 fans.

Rick Schrank got the Havoc on the board early when he found the back of the net just 8:27 into the first period. Glenn Detulleo gave the Havoc a 2-0 lead with a powerplay goal with 1:00 left in the first.

Jordan Oye cut the lead to 2-1 early into the second period but the Havoc responded with Justin Fox goal with 15:00 left in the second.

Kevin Beauregard cut it back to a one-goal lead with 3:37 left in the second period. Ryan Salvis scored with :26 left in the second and the game was back to a two-goal lead at 4-2.

Salvis would add an empty-net goal with 1:08 left in the game to secure the Havoc win.

Corey Milan made 20 saves to get his first career win. Mike Brown made 26 saves in the loss.
