Havoc Set SPHL Attendance Record During 6-3 Loss to Macon

HUNTSVILLE, AL- The Havoc break the SPHL single-season attendance record during the 6-3 loss to the Macon Mayhem on Saturday.

For the second straight night, the Mayhem scored the game's first goal within the first two minutes of the contest. Macon added their second of the first period ten minutes later to take a 2-0 lead into the second.

The two teams headed to the middle frame where the Havoc received a powerplay opportunity. Stuart Stefan snuck into the backdoor and saw a pass across ice from Blake Heitala for his 12th of the season at 5:41 of the second period. But Macon came back with two more goals in a span of just over two minutes to take a 4-1 lead into the third.

For the second straight game, Huntsville began their climb back into the game during the final frame of regulation. It began when the Havoc saw another man-advantage opportunity in which a hard shot had eyes. Christian Powers stood on the doorstep to deflect the puck into the back of the net just 1:43 into the third.

Minutes later, Huntsville saw a three-on-two forming with Tyler French leading the pack. The Kelowna, B.C. native fed Scott Fellnermayr a pass while crashing the net for his sixth of the season at 4:29.

But that was all the Havoc could muster as Macon came back with two more to take game-two of the weekend 6-3.

Memorable Moments The Havoc scored two powerplay goals in a game for the third straight contest. Huntsville now has man-advantage goals in four straight and six of their last seven.

Huntsville now has goals in three straight third periods. It's the first time since February 18th the Havoc scored multiple goals in the final frame of regulation.

After outscored in two straight, the Havoc have now outscored their opponent in two consecutive.

Huntsville finished the night with 41 shots on net marking the third time in their last seven the Havoc registered 40+ shots in a game.

Huntsville, who came into tonight's game averaging 3.58 goals per game, have now scored at least three in each of the four contests against Macon this season.

Next Game The Havoc will now travel to Georgia to take on the Macon Mayhem for the final time this season. The two teams will finish up the three-game in three-night series Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. CT from the Macon Coliseum.
