
Havoc Picks Up Five Points In Successful Week

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc picked up five out of a possible six points last week by winning two games and losing one in a shootout all on the road.
Tuesday, November 15 - Huntsville 5, Mississippi RiverKings 2
SOUTHAVEN, MS - The Huntsville Havoc powerplay continued to sizzle as they converted on three of six chances in a 5-2 win over the Mississippi RiverKings Tuesday morning.
Ryan Salvis gave the Havoc 1-0 lead with 12:16 left in the second period. Ryan Kretzer scored back-to-back goals, the first on the powerplay with 7:08 left in the second period and another with 4:47 left. Nick Vandenbeld got the RiverKings on the board with 1:10 to go in the period and Huntsville had a 3-1 lead with one period left to play.
Mark Magnowski would cut the lead to 3-2 just:25 into the third period but the Havoc would respond with two consecutive powerplay goals. Justin Fox and Shaun Arvai added back-to-back five on three goals the first coming with 13:51 remaining the last goal coming with 12:16 left.
Mark Sibbald made 19 saves to earn his third straight victory. Scott Darling made 22 saves in the loss.
Friday, November 18 - Huntsville 1, Columbus 2 - SO
COLUMBUS, GA - Levi Lind scored the winning goal in the shootout as the Huntsville Havoc fell 2-1 to the Columbus Cottonmouths Friday night.
Ray Ortiz put the Havoc on the board first with 5:25 left in the first period. Peter MacDougall tied the game at 1-1 with 3:04 left in the first.
Ryan Kretzer and Stuart Stefan both scored in the five-round shootout for the Havoc while Sam Bowles and Jesse Cole scored for Coumbus. The shooutout would go to a sixth person where Lind scored and Ryan Salvis did not.
Andrew Loewen made 21 saves in the win while Mark Sibbald made 22 in the loss.
Saturday, November 19 - Huntsville 4, Mississippi Surge 2
BILOXI, MS - The Huntsville Havoc wrapped up a successful week with a 4-2 win on the road over the Mississippi Surge. The Havoc finished the week picking up five points in three games.
Stuart Stefan and Justin Fox both had a goal and an assist for the Havoc. Rick Shrank and Brandon Richardson also scored for the Havoc. Ryan Kretzer had two assists.
Brent Clark and Mark Versteeg-Lytwyn had goals for the Surge.
Corey Milan made 34 saves in the win while Nick Eno made 32 in the loss.
