November 21, 2011 - SPHL (SPHL)
Columbus Cottonmouths News Release
COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Columbus Cottonmouths took their streak to eight games without a regulation loss with a thrilling 2-1 shootout victory over Huntsville on Friday night before falling to Pensacola 3-2 in regulation on Saturday night. Both of the Snakes' two regulation losses so far this season have come at the hands of the Ice Flyers. This week features a busy schedule wrapped around the Thanksgiving holiday. On Tuesday, Columbus will host Knoxville for the first time in the regular season. After a break for the holiday, the Snakes return to home ice Friday night for the first of three games in three nights in three cities when they again play host to the Huntsville Havoc. The Cottonmouths will depart after the game for Lafayette, La. to take on the Louisiana IceGators for the first time this season on Saturday night and then head to Southaven, Miss. for a Sunday matinee against the Mississippi RiverKings to close out the week's busy schedule. All four games will be broadcast on America One Networks with both a video and audio feed, with a nominal fee for each game. A free audio-only webcast of the games is also available. Details can be found at www.cottonmouths.com. In addition, road games are now broadcast locally in the Columbus area on 107.7 FM.
