
Hat Trick Henderson Fuels Rangers Win

Kitchener, ON: Kevin Henderson scored three times tonight including the "Teddy Bear" goal to lead the Rangers to a 4-3 win over the visiting Mississauga IceDogs.
The IceDogs opened the scoring in the game when Jadran Beljo beat John Murray with his 14th goal of the season at 10:48 of the first period. Kevin Henderson tied the game with his 12th goal of the season and triggered an avalanche of 5,666 Teddy Bears from the stands.
Henderson added his 13th and 14th goals of the season in a span of 1:41 to open up the second period and give the Rangers a 3-1 lead.
Oskar Osala added his 9th goal of the season to cut the Rangers lead to 3-2 after forty minutes.
In the third period Matt Halischuk scored his 22nd goal of the season to restore the Rangers two goal lead. Travis Fuller scored late for the IceDogs while on the power play at 19:40 to make it a 4-3 game.
Henderson's hat trick is his second of the season, the last coming October 27th against the Peterborough Petes.
John Murray notched his 18th win on the season turning away 27 shots.

The 5,666 teddy bears thrown onto the ice tonight in the Zellers Teddy Bear Toss support Cystic Fibrosis and numerous other area charitable organizations in the Region. The 12 year total has now grown to 48,671.
