Toronto - This holiday season, the Ontario Hockey League, Breakfast Clubs of Canada and Wal-Mart Canada are spreading a message of happiness, peace and abundance by offering unique Christmas ornaments. The sale of these beautiful seasonal decorations will raise money for school meal programs across the country.

You can select from three ornament designs for only $2.99 a piece to help thousands of children get a bright start to each school day. The colourful and vibrantly packaged ornaments will be on sale in all Wal-Mart stores across Canada and proceeds will go to Breakfast Clubs of Canada and its partner Breakfast for Learning.

The Ontario Hockey League will be supporting the Breakfast Clubs of Canada initiative and the 2,500 community school nutrition programs of Breakfast for Learning's network. "We know that kids can perform at a higher level in school when they start their day with a balanced meal," says Ian Ellis of the Ontario Hockey League. "That's why we are lending our support to Breakfast Clubs for this great fundraising idea."

Breakfast Clubs of Canada helps raise funds for Breakfast for Learning and its network of community-based school nutrition programs. Proceeds raised during this activity will be used to help ensure 250,000 children get a nutritious breakfast, lunch or snack every day to give them the fuel they need to succeed at school. As Daniel Germain, President-Founder of Breakfast Clubs of Canada says, "At Breakfast Clubs of Canada, we believe that to grow up healthy, kids need protein and vitamins as well as a nourishing environment. That is why our partnership with Wal-Mart is so important to us. Being able to reach out to Canadians coast to coast enables us to help a growing number of children start their day at school on a full stomach."

"The Christmas tree ornaments are an excellent gift idea for anyone on your list," says Mario Pilozzi, President and CEO of Wal-Mart Canada. "These ornaments are a great symbol of what the holiday spirit is truly about - giving to others. By purchasing a beautiful ornament, our customers help thousands of children get an equal chance at success."
