Cincinnati RailRaiders News Release
CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Mighty Ducks of the American Hockey League promoted Scott Hartmann to vice president of marketing.
Hartmann came to the Mighty Ducks in October of 1998 as a promotions intern. He was hired as the club's marketing coordinator prior to the start of the 1999-2000 season, and then was named director of marketing in July of 2000.
"Scott Hartmann is the textbook example of an individual that started as an intern and understood what was necessary to succeed," Mighty Ducks president Tom Garrity said. "Scott saw a long-term goal and worked day-to-day to achieve it. Nobody deserves it more!"
Hartmann's responsibilities as vice president of marketing include overseeing all brand development and presentation, consumer research, events and promotion and game presentation.
The Cincinnati native earned a degree in physical education in 1997 from Sue Bennett College, as well as a degree in sports administration in 1998 from Eastern Kentucky. He and his wife, Felisha, reside in Cincinnati.
