
Lightning Recall Svitov from Falcons

Springfield, MA â The Springfield Falcons announced today that the Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled center Alexander Svitov from the Falcons. Svitov will join the Lightning in Tampa as they prepare to host the San Jose Sharks on Friday.
Svitov played in three games with the Falcons this past weekend collecting one goal and one assist, including earning the game's second star on Monday afternoon against Providence. Svitov has also appeared in 11 games with Tampa Bay this season picking up one assist.
Svitov was the Lightning's 1st choice (3rd overall) in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. The Falcons will return to action Wednesday night when they travel to Bridgeport to battle the Sound Tigers. Springfield will host Lowell on Friday night and Saint John on Saturday at the Springfield Civic Center. Game time for both games is 7:35 PM.
