TONIGHT'S GAME The Senators welcome the New Hampshire Fisher Cats to FNB Field for a four-game series which continues Friday night. The Senators took the series opener 9-8 in 10 innings. After New Hampshire scored three runs in the ninth inning to tie the game, the Senators won the game in the bottom of the tenth on an error by first baseman Juan Kelly. The Senators went 3-3 against the Fisher Cats last season. The two clubs are scheduled to play eight games against each other this season, with four at each team's ballpark.

JUAN SOTO ARRIVES After being promoted to Double-A for the first time in his career, Juan Soto went 2-4 with a home run, double and four RBI in in his Senators debut in the series opener. The home-run gives Soto 13 this season across three-different levels, tied for the highest amount in all of Minor League Baseball. The 19-year-old is the 16th best prospect in all of professional baseball and second best prospect in the Nationals organization according to MLB.com. Soto started the season with Low-A Hagerstown before being promoted to High-A Potomac on April 23. The Dominican Republic native was named the South Atlantic League Player of the Month for April and was named Carolina League Player of the Week for the week of 4/29-5/5.

EXTRA HELPING OF EXTRA INNINGS Thursday's night's game was the 7th extra inning game the Senator's have played in this season which is the most of any team in the Eastern League. The Senators are 4-3 in extra inning contests, and Thursday's game was their third walk-off win of the season.

SENS OFFENSE ERUPTS The Senators have posted their best offensive output in a two-game stretch this season over the past couple contests. In the previous two games, the Senators have scored 21 runs and are batting .404 with 20 walks. The Senators scored a season-high in runs (12) and hits (19) in Wednesday's game and took a season-high 11 walks on Thursday night. The team raised their team batting average from .217 to .228 in the last two games.

HOW HOT IS THAT IN KELVIN? After batting .197 over his first 16 games, Kelvin Gutierrez is batting .311 over his past 15 games. The 22-year-old is currently riding a Senators season-high 10-game hitting streak and has recorded at least one hit in 13 of his previous 15 games. The streak is the eighth hitting streak of 10 or more games in the Eastern League this season. SENATORS STARTING PITCHER Luis Reyes starts game two of the series for the Senators. The right-hander is 2-3 with a 5.63 ERA across six starts this season. Reyes has gone at least five innings and allowed two earned runs or less in three straight starts. NEW HAMPSHIRE STARTING PITCHER The Fisher Cats counter with starter Jordan Romano. The right-hander is 5-0 with a 1.83 ERA over his first six starts of the season. Romano is tied for first in the Eastern League in wins. The 25 year-old is playing in his first season with New Hampshire. Romano was originally drafted in the 10th round of the 2014 draft from Oral Roberts.
