The Reading Fightin Phils fell to the Harrisburg Senators 14-5 on Thursday night. Harrisburg scored early and often, but Reading's bullpen held them in until the end.

Reading notched three hits during the contest: Logan O'Hoppe and Kevin Vicuna had a base knock, while Josh Ockimey had an double.

The Senators had one run in the first, two in the second, and two in the third. Both Brady Lindsly and Justin Connell had long balls to lead 5-0.

Reading chipped away in the fourth as O'Hoppe recorded an RBI single to score Jhailyn Ortiz.

The Senators tacked on two more in the sixth off the off the bat of Jacob Rhinesmith.

The R-Phils O'Hoppe sent home Ortiz on a ground ball to third making it 7-2.

Adam Leverett pitched the longest start of the season with 5.2 innings of work. He let up 10 hits and seven earned runs, striking out five. Braden Zarbnisky allowed just one hit on two and a third innings of work. McKinley Moore had a clean ninth on ten pitches.

The Fightins will play at FirstEnergy Stadium tomorrow against the Harrisburg Senators with a 6:45pm first pitch.
