
Harris' Season-High Not Eneough as Magic Overwhelm Knicks

LAKELAND, FL - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, were defeated by the Lakeland Magic, 129-117 at the RP Funding Center Wednesday evening.
The Knicks (2-4) were led by Jalen Harris (affiliate) with a season-high 24 points on 64.3-percent, three assists, and two rebounds. Harris also went 4-7 (57.1%) beyond the arc in 35 minutes. Trevor Keels (Two-Way) went for 22 points-his first 20-point game since November 22, a career-high seven assists, and a pair of rebounds. Garrison Brooks (affiliate), DaQuan Jeffries (Two-Way), and James Akinjo (affiliate) each scored 16 points. Brooks also hauled a game-high 13 rebounds, establishing his fourth double-double in the regular season.
For Lakeland (4-2), Kevon Harris led all scorers with 27 points, five rebounds and four assists. Jay Scrubb registered 21 points and two boards. Four additional players-Robert Baker (19), Zavier Simpson (19), Aleem Ford (16), Jonathan Isaac (15)-scored double-figures.
The Magic took command of the game early going up double-figures in the first quarter. In the second period, the Knicks kept within striking distance, bridging the game to single possessions until halftime.
Lakeland encouraged its separation from Westchester and managed to go back up double-figures at the end of the third and all but 20 seconds of the fourth. Lakeland's largest lead stood at 16 points pictured at the 8:45 mark of the final quarter.
Westchester shot 54.3-percent-its best clip since early December and drained 42.9-percent of its looks from three-its third game shooting that well in its last four games. The Magic shot 59.8-percent and 42.9-percent in those respective categories.
The Knicks will get a week off before having to face the Wisconsin Herd (3-0) next Wednesday, January 18 at 12:30 PM ET.
