FORT MYERS, Fla. - Caleb Hamilton delivered a game-winning two-run, eighth inning double, as the Fort Myers Miracle rallied to defeat the Charlotte Stone Crabs, 4-3, on Monday night at Hammond Stadium in a matchup between the top two teams in the Florida State League South Division.

With runners at first and second and two out, Hamilton lined a 2-2 pitch down the line in right to give the Miracle the lead. The Miracle catcher was 0-2 with a walk prior to his game-winning hit.

The Miracle scored single runs in the third and fourth on RBI singles from Royce Lewis and Travis Blankenhorn.

Charlotte erased the 2-0 deficit with a three-run sixth. Vidal Brujan drilled a long home run to right before Rene Pinto knocked in two with a double into the left-field corner.

Griffin Jax started for the Miracle and pitched six innings, allowing three runs on five hits. Jovani Moran (4-1) earned the win in relief with two scoreless innings. Recently recalled Kevin Marnon notched his second save with a scoreless ninth.

Charlotte's Brendan McKay allowed one run in five innings. Trevor Charpie (2-1) suffered his first loss of the season after allowing Hamilton's double. He surrendered two runs in one inning of work.

The win moves the Miracle to within a half-game of the Stone Crabs in the race for the second half South title.
