Hagerstown Suns News Release

Lexington, KY-The Hagerstown Suns (6-2) fell to the Lexington Legends (4-4) at Whitaker Bank Ballpark on Thursday night in Game 4 by a score of 7-0. The Legends' shutout came on the wings of 8.0 innings from their RHP Tanner Bushue (2-0), the winning pitcher, who scattered five hits, walked two, and struck out four. The Suns managed just six hits in the contest, which could not compete with 14 base knocks for the Legends.

The losing pitcher, LHP Matt Grace (1-1) got tagged for six earned runs on 11 hits through 4.0 innings of work, giving up home runs in the fourth frame to CF Daniel Adamson, a solo homer to left center, and DH Telvin Nash, a 2-run shot to left which complemented an RBI double by C Chris Wallace. Every member of the Lexington Legends lineup had at least one hit and five hitters had multi-hit nights at the plate.

The other Legends runs came courtesy of a 2 RBI single by RF Adam Bailey and an RBI one-base hit by 3B Mike Kvasnicka.

The Suns went (6-2) on their 2011 opening road trip, and will travel home to Hagerstown, MD to prepare for Opening Day 2011 at Municipal Stadium, as Hagerstown will play host to the Lakewood BlueClaws of the Philadelphia Phillies farm system for what will be RF Bryce Harper's debut in front of the Hagerstown Suns faithful. Harper is the number one overall draft pick from the MLB 2010 First-Year Player Draft.

The Hagerstown Suns play at Municipal Stadium in Hagerstown, MD and are a Class "A" affiliate of the Washington Nationals.
