
Gwinnett Braves Homestand Highlights for May 2-9

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA - The Gwinnett Braves return to Coolray Field for an eight-game homestand starting on Thursday, May 2. The G-Braves will host the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple-A, New York Yankees) for four games from May 2-5 and the Pawtucket Red Sox (Triple-A, Boston Red Sox) for four games from May 6-9. In addition to exciting G-Braves' baseball, the homestand features numerous promotions and giveaways, plus one huge fundraiser.
The four-game series against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre kicks off on Thursday with a 6:05 PM start and a "$3 Thursday." Fans are welcomed to enjoy $3 food and beverage specials all game long. Lawn Seats are also just $3 on Thursday. Friday's 7:05 PM game is "Superhero Night" at Coolray Field, sponsored by 12Stone. Dress as your favorite superhero for a chance to win prizes and stay afterward for a Post-Game Fireworks show courtesy of WAGA Fox 5 Atlanta!
The series with the RailRiders continues on Saturday at 7:05 PM, as the first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a Gwinnett Braves Drawstring Bag presented by Dave & Buster's. Sunday's 2:05 PM game is "Family Day," featuring Pre-Game Catch on the Field from 1:00-1:15 PM and the Post-Game Kids Base Run (kids 12 and under) after the game.
Pawtucket comes to town starting on Monday night, a 6:05 PM first pitch. It's "Kids Eat Free Night," where all kids ages 12 and under will receive a voucher for a free hot dog, bag of chips and small soda.
On Tuesday, the Gwinnett Braves will show their support for the victims of the Boston Marathon tragedy during "Boston Strong Night." Former prominent Boston athletes Matt Ryan (former Boston College quarterback), Jason Varitek (former Red Sox catcher), Rodney Harrison (former New England Patriots safety) and Dee Brown (former Boston Celtics guard) will be on hand to throw out first pitches prior to the 6:05 PM game against Pawtucket. The G-Braves will pay tribute to the city of Boston throughout the night while raising money for OneFundBoston.org. For each ticket sold online at gwinnettbraves.com/boston using the promo code "STRONG," $5 will go toward OneFundBoston.org.
Tuesday night is also "Team Tuesday" featuring a Jose Constanza Poster Giveaway to the first 500 fans. Constanza, the 2012 International League Batting Champion, is expected to be on hand for autographs starting at 5:05 PM. Also on "Team Tuesday," any youth baseball player wearing their team's jersey (ages 12 and under) will receive a free ticket with the purchase of one Adult ticket (limit one child per adult).
Wednesday night's 6:05 PM game is "Winning Wednesday" sponsored by the Georgia Lottery. All fans will have the opportunity to play Baseball Bingo along with the game, with prizes being awarded to the winners. If a G-Braves player hits a grand slam during the fifth inning, one lucky fan will win $5,000! The homestand wraps up with "Belk Education Day" on Thursday, a special 10:35 AM start. Students from all over the county and surrounding areas will join the G-Braves for an educational and fun experience at Coolray Field, sponsored by Belk.

- Post-Game Kids Base Run - Bring the youngsters down and let them loose on the Coolray Field basepaths after the game. Children must be 12 and under to participate.

- Poster Giveaway- The first 500 fans will receive a poster of 2012 IL Batting Champion Jose Constanza. Constanza will be autographing posters from 5:05-5:20 PM.
