Today's Game:

The Buffalo Bisons take on the Rochester Red Wings in the finale of a four-game series at Frontier Field (11:35 a.m.). The Bisons need a win today to earn a split of the four-game series. The Bisons will have their first scheduled off-day on Wednesday before hosting their first non-divisional foe of the season, Louisville, on Thursday.

The Thruway Cup

The Bisons are 4-3 against the Red Wings this season. Buffalo won the first two games of the year at Coca-Cola Field, but Rochester has won three of the last five at Frontier Field. After today, the IL's closest rivals do not meet again until July 3 in Buffalo.

On the Hill

RHP DAVE BUSH will make his fourth start of the season today. The righty has not allowed more than two earned runs in any of his three starts this season. In his only other road start in 2013, Bush allowed just one run in six innings in Lehigh Valley to beat the IronPigs on April 20.

Luis Jimenez

INF LUIS JIMENEZ has driven in 21 runs in his last 11 games. His 26 RBI on the season are more than any other hitter in the International League. Jimenez has driven in multiple runs in a game seven times and is averaging .438 (14-32) with runners in scoring position. Jimenez drove in 81 as an All-Star with Tacoma in 2012.

MO-mentum

OF MOISES SIERRA has five multi-hit performances in his last nine starts with the club. Since his 6-6 game on April 18, the outfielder has averaged .533 (16-30) with six extra-base hits. That average is the best in minor league baseball over that time. Sierra (.403) is now second in the IL in average behind teammate INF JIM NEGRYCH (.429)

The Closer

RHP NEIL WAGNER has faced 11 batters in his last three outings and has struck out eight of them. The closer has allowed just one hit in his last six outings with 10 strikeouts in 6.0 innings of work. Wagner is a perfect 6-for-6 in save opportunities this season and has held opponents to a .172 average against.

Rise and Shine

This is the second of four morning starts for the Herd. Buffalo beat Lehigh Valley, 8-2 on April 22. The Bisons have an 11:05 a.m. game in Indy on May 16 and will host the IronPigs at 10:35 a.m. on June 6.

Toronto (9-17) had an off-day yesterday. The Blue Jays are back in action tonight (7:07 p.m.) when the open a six-game homestand with the first of a three-game series with the Red Wings at Rogers Centre. RHP BRANDON MORROW will start for Toronto.
