
Gulledge placed on inactive list, RedHawks sign two

FARGO, N.D. â The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have placed C Kelley Gulledge on the Northern League Inactive List and signed C Brad Flanders and RHP Tim Vaillancourt, the Northern League club announced today.
Gulledge suffered a fractured thumb in last night's game and is expected to miss at least four weeks of action. He was hitting .286 with four doubles, three home runs, eight RBIs and seven runs scored in ten games. Gulledge will be available to rejoin the RedHawks in 30 days, per league rules.
Flanders, 23, appeared in 13 games for the Evansville Otters of the Frontier League in 2004. He batted .259 with a double and four RBIs. He was in training camp with the Kansas City T-Bones this spring and played college baseball at the University of Missouri.
Vaillancourt, 23, was 4-4 with a 4.16 ERA in 14 starts for the Missoula Ospreys of the Pioneer League in 2004. In 75.2 innings pitched, he allowed 47 runs (35 earned) on 78 hits. Vaillancourt struck out 67 batters and walked 31. Following the Pioneer League season, he made one start for the Tucson Sidewinders of the Pacific Coast League (AAA). Vaillancourt pitched 4.1 innings, allowing two runs on five hits while striking out seven.
