June 1, 2005 - Northern League (NL)
Calgary Vipers News Release
The Calgary Vipers and Sioux Falls Canaries couldn't get the rubber match of their 3 game set in Wednesday night at Foothills Stadium in Calgary. An unexpected rainfall halted things 4 outs into the 4th inning. At the time the Vipers were hanging on to a slim 4-3 lead. Sioux Falls got out to a 1-0 lead after half an inning when Anthony Monegan was driven home by an Edgard Clemente sacrifice fly. The Vipers scored 3 in their half of the 1st, as Greg Morrison drove Pedro Santana home with a 2 run homer. Carlos Duncan followed that with a solo shot to straight-away center. The 2 teams would exchange runs until the game was called with the Vipers leading.
This game will be made up July 4th in Sioux Falls prior to the regularly scheduled meeting between the 2 teams.
