
Guelph Storm vs. Mississauga Steelheads - Teddy Bear Toss Game Preview

Saturday, December 15th, is the annual Teddy Bear Toss game sponsored by Brent Johnson of Wayne Pitman Ford Lincoln at the Sleeman Centre as the Storm host the Mississauga Steelheads at 2pm.
The Guelph Storm welcome the Mississauga Steelheads to the Sleeman Centre on Saturday afternoon for their second meeting of the season. The Steelheads won the first game back on November 14th by a score of 4-1. Coming into Saturday's game, Guelph is sitting in 5th place in the Western Conference and are only 2 points out of 3rd place, while Mississauga is in 6th place in the Eastern Conference. Today will be the debut of new Guelph Storm forward Pavel Gogolev, who was acquired on Friday December 14th in exchange for defenseman Ryan Merkley. Pavel has 7 goals and 12 assists for 19 points through 29 games for the Petes this season.

Guelph Storm
Nate Schnarr is having a career season for the Guelph Storm and has already set new career highs in goals, assists and points at the halfway mark of the season. Nate recently signed with the Arizona Coyotes of the NHL and has continuously put up big offensive numbers for the Storm with 17 goals and 28 assists for 45 points in 28 games played.
Mississauga Steelheads
Thomas Harley of the Mississauga Steelheads is also having a career season, as he's already posted 4 goals and 21 assists for 25 points through 31 games. Drafted in the 1st round by Mississauga in 2017, Thomas has put up big numbers for a defenseman and will look to continue his breakout season against the Storm on Saturday.

Saturday's game is the annual Teddy Bear Toss game for the Guelph Storm. Last year the teddy bear goal was scored by rookie forward Mason Primeau near the beginning of the second period. Primeau's goal brought on a storm of over 6,000 stuffed animals onto the ice!

Guelph plays in Oshawa on Sunday December 16th at 6:05pm before they take their holiday break. After the break the Storm will play at the Sleeman Centre on Friday December 28th against the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7:30pm.
