Downpour of Offense Overwhelms Petes in Guelph

(Peterborough, ON) - A strong start was overcome by a downpour of Storm offense as the Petes fell 6-1 in Guelph on Friday night.

Rookie Cameron Butler tallied his seventh goal of the season to open scoring for the Petes. Declan Chisholm and Nick Isaacson would collect assists on the play.

Guelph would go on to score three goals in each of the second and third periods.

Tye Austin stopped 32 of 38 shots. The Petes were 0/3 on the power play and 3/6 on the penalty kill.

The Petes return home to host the 67's on Sunday, December 16 at 2:05pm when recently acquired defenceman Ryan Merkley is expected to make his debut. Sunday's game will be followed by a free post-game skate with the team (helmets and skates required).
