
Petes Score Four Unanswered Goals to Douse Firebirds

(Peterborough, ON) - The Petes scored four unanswered goals on route to defeating the visiting Flint Firebirds 5-2 on Thursday night at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
Defenceman Shawn Spearing opened scoring for the Petes when he recorded his first OHL goal. Nick Robertson scored on the power play, while Chris Paquette scored his league-leading fifth shorthanded marker. Brady Hinz and Liam Kirk added insurance tallies.
Adam Timleck recorded three assists. Erik ?ermák registered two assists, while Robertson, Paquette, and Declan Chisholm had one assist each.
Hunter Jones stopped 31 of 33 shots. The Petes were 1/2 on the power play and 4/5 on the penalty kill.
The Petes visit the Guelph Storm on Friday, December 14 at 7:30pm before returning home to host the 67's on Sunday, December 16 at 2:05pm.
