"We are very happy to have WORD as our radio partner again this season", said ScheerSports Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Carl Scheer. "We're especially pleased to continue this relationship. Our fans know where to go for the most complete and comprehensive coverage of the Grrrowl, and that's WORD."

Entercom VP/Market Manager Tom Durney said, "The Grrrowl did incredibly well last year and the fans seem to be extremely appreciative that they can hear their games on WORD/WYRD 950/1330. We like the idea of supporting our local sports franchises, and advertisers like the idea of reaching diehard fans that listen closely and go out of their way to patronize the sponsors".

Grrrowl game broadcasts begin 15 minutes prior to the opening face-off, and feature a scene-setting pre-game show, interviews, and a post-game show complete with highlights. Veteran hockey broadcaster David Miller will provide all the exciting play-by-play action.

"I'm looking forward to my first season with the Grrrowl, and I'm excited about our relationship with WORD", said Miller. The ECHL regular season starts on Friday, October 11th as the Grrrowl travel to Charlotte to face the Checkers at 7:35 PM.
