Growlers Secure Blowout Win to End Homestand

KALAMAZOO, MI - The Growlers exploded for 12 runs today for an 8-run blowout of Traverse City by a score of 12-4. Cole Russo (UCF) shined for Kalamazoo offensively, going 2 for 5 at the plate with 2 home runs and 4 RBI. Dylan Freeman (Montevallo) got the win on the mound for the Growlers, throwing five innings on the mound while punching out seven on the outing.
With the win, the Growlers finish their opening homestand with a 4-2 record, two walk-off wins and a feature piece on ESPN. The Growlers are on the road from June 8th-12th and return to Homer Stryker Field on Monday, June 13th at 6:35 to take on the Battle Creek BattleJacks.
