
Growlers Drop Back and Forth Battle with Woodchucks

Kalamazoo, Mich - The Kalamazoo Growlers have lost to the Wisconsin Woodchucks by a score of 6-4.
The Growlers bullpen struggled, they gave up six of the Woodchucks nine hits as well as three runs and eight walks.
KVCC product Greyson Granger walked four Woodchucks and gave up three hits with three earned runs. Donnie Eaton (Michigan) receives the loss, he gave up two runs and walked three in 0.1 innings.
Growlers hitters were controlled by Woodchucks pitchers, they totaled seven hits.
Newly added Growler L.K. Thompson (Florida International) gave the Growlers a 4-3 lead with an RBI single, he went 1-for-2 with two RBI's.
Justin Fletcher (Northern Illinois) went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI.
The Growlers continue their homestand July 17, as they take on the Lacrosse Loggers in Northwoods League play. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
Thursday, July 17 is Military Appreciation Night at Homer Stryker Field. All active military members as well as veterans will receive complimentary admission to the game courtesy of Walmart/Sam's Club. It is also Miller Lite Thirsty Thursday, fans can enjoy two dollar draft beers and the first 250 fans aged 21 and up will receive a free Miller Lite bottle opener.
