Gross & McElyea Named to Northwoods League Postseason All-Star Team

St. Cloud, MN: The Northwoods League announced that Tommy Gross (RHP) and Piercen McElyea (RHP) were named to the Northwoods League Postseason All-Star Team. Both were named NWL Regular Season All-Stars as well.
Tommy Gross has pitched in 12 games for the Rox where he posts a 6-1 record over 39.1 innings of work with a 1.54 ERA. He has struck out 44 batters which is second most on the team.
Piercen McElyea has been in the pitching rotation all season. Posting a 6-1 record over 10 starts. He has a 2.83 ERA over 54 innings pitched and has a team high 56 strikeouts. His last start, August 6th, he struck out 14 Bismarck Larks batters which ties a Rox single-game record.

The Rox have their regular season finale today against the Minnesota Mud Puppies. It is fan appreciation night with numerous great giveaways throughout the game presented by Texas Roadhouse! The Rox will then be at home Sunday August 13th, to face the Willmar Stingers in the first round of the playoffs. Rox playoffs are presented by Minnwest Bank.
