AVON, OH-The Gateway Grizzlies scored four times in the top of the 10th inning Thursday night to defeat the Lake Erie Crushers 10-7 in the finale of a three-game series. The win gives the Grizzlies their second straight series win. They have now won four of their last six games.

Jonathan Quigley broke the 6-6 tie with a one-out single to score Charlie Lisk, who had walked earlier in the inning. Cody Merrell followed with a walk to load the bases. Jareck West then lined a two-run single to left field to make it 9-6. Brandon Peters added a sacrifice fly later in the inning to make it 10-6 Grizzlies.

Lake Erie (25-19) managed an unearned run in the bottom of the inning, for the final total.

Jamie Arneson (2-0) earned the win for the Grizzlies. Arneson finished the ninth inning before tossing the 10th for the Grizzlies (17-27). He struck out two. It is the second win in as many appearances for the Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies led 6-5 in the bottom of the ninth, before the Crushers tied it on a fielder's choice with one out. Tim Binkoski scored from second when the Grizzlies failed to turn a double play. Chad Rothford's threw home, and Quigley's tag appeared to be in time to get Binkoski, and end the game. Binkoski was called safe and extra innings followed.

Quigley finished the night 1-5 with two RBIs. West was 2-4 with the two RBIs and a run scored. Rothford was 3-4 with a home run (10th) and two RBIs. Charlie Lisk was 1-4 with an RBI-double. He now has a Frontier League-leading 49 RBIs for the year.

The Grizzlies will travel to Ypsilanti, MI to begin a three-game series with the Midwest Sliders Friday night. Game time is 6:05 pm, central time.
