
Grizzlies take second straight from Rascals

Brandon Smith fired a four-hit complete game, and Ben Margalski drove in three runs as the Gateway Grizzlies defeated the River City Rascals for the second night in a row. The Grizzlies win 3-1 Thursday night in front of 2,633 at T.R. Hughes Ballpark in O' Fallon, MO. The Grizzlies are now 3-5. River City drops to 4-3.
Smith (2-0) allowed just one run on the four hits. He walked a hitter and struck out eight for his second win in as many starts this year.
Margalski went 4-4 with a solo home run, a double and two singles. He drove in all three runs for the Grizzlies. He now has two home runs and six RBIs in the last two games.
The Grizzlies will go for the sweep Friday night as they meet the Rascals in a 7:05 game at T.R. Hughes.
